A SNEAK PEEK INTO THE ASSEMBLIES“The peace we seek to win is not victory over any other people, but the peace that comes with healing in its wings; with compassion for those who have suffered; with understanding for those who have opposed us; with the opportunity for all the people of this Earth to choose their own destiny.” The lines, once said by Richard Nixon, resonated through the assemblies that were conducted in the month of October. The celebration of the victory of the forces of Good over Evil and restoration of peace, was depicted through a special assembly on the occasion of Dussehra. The assembly, conducted by Grade II A on 08th October 2021, conveyed the importance of Dussehra through their captivating presentation of puppet show enactment of Ramayana in a beautiful poetic form. The victory of Lord Ram over Ravan in a festival spread over ten days reminds people of the fact that truth always wins. It was a learning experience for all of us and enriched us about our rich Indian culture and values. The enactment acted as a motivation for everyone to follow the path of dharma. No victory is meaningful if peace is not restored, the message was beautifully amalgamated through the assembly presented by Grade II B, where the students enlightened everyone with the universal value, I am Peace through their mesmerizing presentation. They apprised everyone with the significance and the importance of non-violence where students dressed up as Gandhi ji, reminded everyone about him as the greatest apostle of peace. The assembly concluded with a short oath taking ceremony where students took an oath to promote Peace through global friendship and acts of kindness, truthfulness and non-violence.
