The ideas find a way to express themselves through their enactment and understanding of the stories in consideration. Speech and Confidence Building Exercises The clarity of speech and how kids enunciate a word is a crucial point to be taken care of when it comes to expressions and emotions. The correct pronunciation and ability to project the voice without faltering in the speech is something we can only nip in the bud at this young age. This change can positively influence their capabilities in terms of listening and speaking and allow every child an opportunity to develop public speaking skills. Visit to FIRE STATION “The best education you’ll ever get is by traveling. Nothing teaches you more than exploring the world and accumulating experiences.” -Mark Patterson To make the students understand the role and importance of community helpers in our lives, the Suncitizens of Grades I and II, were taken to ‘Haryana Fire & Emergency Services’, Sec-29 for a short and informative trip. Our young tots were briefed by the fire officer on how to contact the fire authorities in case of an emergency by dialling 101. They watched how firefighters use their fire trucks in an emergency situation. The firefighters showed them the different equipment used by them and demonstrated the use of a fire extinguisher. A demonstration drill was also conducted to explain the whole process of fire elimination. Children were ecstatic and super excited when they saw the firefighters slide down the pole as a part of the mock drill by the rescue team. Lastly, students were made to visit the vehicles, firemen used during the state of emergency. The children asked many questions to the firefighters and surprised them with their inquisitiveness. The objective of the trip was to enhance visual learning and crisis handling abilities amongst the students This trip also gave the students an idea about how important it is to use their presence of mind when a crisis like this occurs. ANNUAL EXCURSION “The best education you’ll ever get is by travelling. Nothing teaches you more than exploring the world and accumulating experiences.”-Mark Patterson The word excursion evokes a feeling of excitement and a sense of exhilaration. This year the students of Grades I & II went to ‘Never Enuf Garden Railway’ Manesar, for their annual excursion. The trip aimed at providing the learners an experience outside the school environment and allowed them to observe new things in a completely different setting. ‘Never Enuf’ is the only garden railway in North India brought to life by Mr. Aadesh, a train-modelling enthusiast who has installed his creations in a Lilliput’s world, straight out of a picture book. The exuberant children, bubbling with excitement, got a close experience of a miniature world in an enchanting display of trains, motor-controlled boats and cars in their own small world of houses, industries, and bridges, perfectly syncing with the theme for this month- ‘Transport’ and SDG 9- ‘Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure’. Apart from admiring the miniature rail world, the young ‘Sun citizens’ also learnt about ticket windows, signals, railway crossings and station masters. The children were made aware of, how to deal with emergency situations involving fire escapes and more. The enthralling trip was made even more enjoyable with the scrumptious food, served at the venue. The children prepared DIY crafts and carried them home as souvenirs for their parents. CHILDREN'S DAY Children’s Day is celebrated in remembrance of India’s first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru, popularly known as Pandit Nehru, who was born on 14th of November in the year 1889. Suncity School-37 D organized an amazing “Science Magic Show” for the young Suncitizens. The magician performed several bewildering tricks that left our little Suncitizens astonished and awestruck. Not only a magic show, but our little ones also enjoyed a movie time with their friends while snacking on delicious popcorns and chocolates. Our children had a memorable experience as they enjoyed the wonderful events and went back home happy and overjoyed. COMMUNITY LUNCH ‘’Sharing is a wonderful thing, especially to those you’ve shared with.’’ - Julie Hebert ‘Sharing is Caring’; teaching the children to share is teaching them love and compassion. This Children’s Day, November 14, 2022, the gratified ‘Suncitizens’, spread smiles by organizing a ‘Special Treat’ at the school for the underprivileged children. A ‘Community Lunch’ was organized by the school authorities wherein the students of grade II served meal to almost 100 underprivileged people with a lot of zeal. This was also in sync with the SDG 2- Zero Hunger. The enthusiastic children experienced the joy of serving the community and thus got engaged in some luminous learning. The joy of the occasion got doubled when the underprivileged children were taken to the play area and were given an opportunity to play on the swings. Children’s Day couldn’t be spent better than making the young minds realize that humanity should be the biggest religion for each and every one. A society can be served in this way, thus making the earth a better place to live.
