The assemblies began with the ‘News’ and the ‘Thought of the Day’ and extended with an array of interesting programmes. The spirit of Christmas echoed through the carols sung melodiously by the children, ushering in the festive season. The students of Grade II-D welcomed Jesus through a one act play depicting the ‘Nativity Scene.’ Our tiny tots of Pre-Nursey also brought smiles and joy to their fellow mates by sharing the information about Santa and St. Nicholas and emphasized the true spirit of Santa, which lay in the joy of giving and helping those who are less fortunate. This was followed by a mesmerizing dance performance which enthralled the audience. The children were filled with joy and excitement as Santa came dancing to the tune of Jingle Bells. The students were encouraged to promote and contribute to the message spread by Saint Nicholas (Santa Claus) during the upcoming ‘Joy of Giving’ week by donating goods for the underprivileged people. The message of the assembly was loud and clear and reminded us--- "Christmas is not necessarily about things. It's about being good to one another." On behalf of all Suncitizens we wish everyone, ‘A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
